Deutsch: Die Band Maria & The Rhythm Boosters wurde 2020 von Melanie Maria Muñoz-Rodriguez (Vocals/Gitarre) und Paddy Brohammer (Gitarre/Vocals) gegründet. Komplettiert wird das Line-up von Gerhard Gä Mattes (Kontrabass/E-Bass) und Erik Lassmann (Schlagzeug).
Der Bandname gibt schon einen Hinweis, wohin die musikalische Reise geht. Maria und ihre Jungs spielen klassischen Rockabilly und Rock´n´Roll, mit messerscharfen Gitarren (gespielt von Paddy Brohammer, einst Gründungsgitarrist der legendären Kentucky Boys vom Bodensee), slappendem Kontrabass und wildem Schlagzeug. Darüber thront die Stimme der Spanierin Maria. Mit andalusischer Leidenschaft rockt sie ihre Songs, neben vielen eigenen Liedern, die der alten Heldinnen und Helden. Santa Muerte scheint eine musikalische Schwester in Andalusien zu haben.
Seit März 2023 gibt es nun die erste EP „This is a kick“. Darauf sind 4 eigene Songs, davon 2 auf Englisch, einer auf Spanisch, sowie ein Instrumental. Aufgenommen wurde in den Blackshack Studios in Calw mit amtlichem analogem Equipment.

The band’s name shows where the musical journey goes. Maria and her boys are playing classic Rockabilly and Rock ́n ́Roll, with razor sharp guitars (played by Paddy Brohammer, once guitarist of the legendary Kentucky Boys from the Lake of Constance), wild slapped
Double bass and drums. Above it all, crowns the wonderful voice of the Spanish singer
Maria. She is rocking her songs with Andalusian passion. Besides a lot of originals (sung in
English and Spanish), there are songs from the old heroes. Santa Muerte seems to have a musical sister in Andalusia.
Since March `23, the first EP „This is a kick“ is available featuring 4 Songs, all originals, 2
sung in English, one in Spanish and also an instrumental. The songs were recorded at the
legendary Blackshack Studios in Calw with analog equipment.
Español: La banda Maria & The Rhythm Boosters fue formada en 2020 por Melanie Maria Muñoz-Rodriguez (voz/guitarra) y Paddy Brohammer (guitarra/voz). El grupo lo completa Gerhard Gä Mattes (contrabajo/e-bass) y Erik Lassmann (batería).
El nombre ya da una idea de hacia dónde se dirige el viaje musical. María y sus muchachos tocan rockabilly clásico y rock'n'roll, con guitarras afiladas (interpretadas por Paddy Brohammer, una vez guitarrista fundador de los legendarios Kentucky Boys del Lago de Constanza, contrabajo y batería salvaje. La voz de la española María ilumina todo. Canta sus canciones con pasión andaluza. Además de muchas canciones propias, tocan canciones de los viejos héroes del Rock’n’Roll. Santa Muerte parece tener una hermana musical en Andalucía.
El primer EP "This is a kick" está disponible desde marzo de 2023. Contiene 4 canciones originales, 2 de las cuales son en inglés, una en español y una instrumental. Fue grabado en los Blackshack Studios de Calw (Selva Negra) con equipo analógico original.
